Pahnu was the Demigod of Nature. His responsibility was to shepherd the Land, Sea and Sky. One of Kethra's earliest children, he was also among the very few still living in the time of The Last Vessel. The Vessel agreed, and fate was written.
Others say the Vessel challenged Pahnu to a battle, and stood toe-to-toe against a Demigod — a thing which had not happened for a hundred years. The Vessel took what was necessary, an agent of death in the never ending cycle of life, of which even the Demigods were intrinsically tied.
Whatever the true story is, the Vessel carried Pahnu's Essence to the Shrine of Ascension, and poured the ancient power into the storied monument, taking the first irrevocable step upon their fated path to defeat the God-Queen once and for all...
